U.S. Small Business Administration 503/504 Loan Program

The 503/504 loan program is an economic development financing program designed to stimulate private-sector investment in long-term fixed assets which will increase productivity, create new jobs, and increase the local tax base. This program is administered through SBA-Certified Development Companies (CDCs) which are nonprofit corporations set up to contribute to the economic development of its community or region. CDCs work with the SBA and private-sector lenders to provide financing to small businesses. There are about 290 CDCs nationwide, each CDC operating within a specific geographic area.

For more information about the 504 program, contact the Certified Development Company serving your area. A listing of these lenders can be found in http://www.sba.gov/gopher/Local-Information/Certified-Development-Companies.
