U.S. Small Business Administration 7(a) Loan Guaranty Program |
|
Congress created the SBA in 1953 to help America's entrepreneurs form successful small enterprises. Named after section 7(a) of the Small Business Act, the 7(a) Loan Guaranty Program is one of the SBA's primary lending programs. The 7(a) program authorizes the SBA to provide business loans to American small businesses that are unable to secure financing through normal lending channels. The program operates through private-sector lenders that provide loans, a portion of which are guaranteed by the SBA and can be sold to investors in the secondary market. For more information on the SBA 7(a) guaranty loan program, you can contact your local lender or visit the SBA web site at http://www.sba.gov. |
